Sweeping the White House Sidewalk: GWAF River Road Exchange, Summer 1968 I think Saturday afternoon was a hayride in some pretty damp weather. Saturday night might have been a disastrous dance with an amateurish psychdelic band. Then Sunday morning! The idea was to take brooms down to the White House and really clean the place up. The guard in the center of the photo came out to see what we were doing and immediately appreciated the humor. We gathered around him and someone suggested the group shot. Here it is.
